SUITABLE MARES TYPES

Aries is an excellent all-round stallion. He is a great choice for pony mares, larger horses and maiden mares due to his size. He adds substance, quality, conformation, movement, bone and temperament. His offspring inherit his grace and presence along with his incredible temperament. He has covered mares from 13.2hh up to 17.2hh (with some the help from AI of course!)

He is very popular with pure Thoroughbred mare owners to add a bit of sensible thinking - mares that tend to be a bit flighty or spooky with otherwise sweet natures benefit hugely from this cross. The offspring have talent and quality in spades as well as being fantastic to work with.

Aries is also popular with pony mare owners - ponies that have been fantastic family friends but are sadly outgrown - Aries produces sane, sensible, multi-purpose offspring with good looks and temperament at around the very sought after 14.2hh mark - worth their weight in gold! He also crosses well with Native breeds, particularly Welsh C's and D's to produce lovely all-rounder types with an extra exotic quality that certainly turns heads. The offspring are flashy, willing to please, laid back and hardy. Ideal for today's busy part-time rider.

Aries has been successfully crossed with driving-type mares to produce stunning foals that will excel in harness. They have elasticity, confidence and brains, along with Aries' fabulous temperament, making ideal driving or ride/drive horses.

Aries has been used on performance mares with excellent results. The offspring have wonderful movement, conformation, presence and of course temperament. They sparkle in the show ring and are generally the envy of everyone who lays eyes on them. He currently has young offspring being produced for the show-ring and dressage arena.

Aries is very popular amongst Arab mare owners to add substance, bone, sensible temperament without losing any of the Arab pizzazz. He crosses well to produce good endurance horses as well.

Please be aware that Aries is so popular that for two years running we have had to close the stud book for him early as we were completely overwhelmed with bookings - so please get in touch sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.
